We host events for all members of the family at different times of the year, including young adult weekends, special lesson series, movie nights and family-style meals. Visit regularly to see what is going on!

Friends' Day

Join us on the first Sunday of every month for Friends' Day: worship service at 11:00 AM followed by a family-style potluck. All are welcome!

Men's Brunch

Every second Saturday of the month, the men meet in a member's home (call/email for address) to share a hearty breakfast meal followed by a lesson or discussion about God's Word and how it applies in our lives.

Ladies' Bible Study

A special discussion group just for the ladies on the third Thursday of every month in a member's home. Call or email for the address!

youth In addition to Sunday morning Bible classes for youth of all ages, we plan various social and spiritual outings for our middle and high school youth, including games nights and outdoor activities. Please check back or contact us for more information.

womenLadies' Class: We meet in a member's home on the third Thursday evening (7:30-9:00 PM) of every month for a Bible study and to share sweet snacks and stories. Date and location change every month, so please call or email for details!

Ladies' Day: Every fall, the Barrie Church of Christ hosts a ladies' day for women from across the province. It's a refreshing time filled with fellowship, Bible lessons, delicious food and fun activities. We invite you to check back or contact us for the dates of the next ladies' day!

Ladies' Holiday Dinner (photo from 2008): In late December, the ladies plan a festive dinner to celebrate the year and each other. Past dinners have been hosted by ladies from the congregation or at local restaurants. Contact us if you are interested in attending!

We are a group of (mostly) 18-35 year olds in many different walks of life - but what we have in common is a love for Christ, His Word and each other. We plan many Bible studies and social activities, and we welcome any one to join us for fun and fellowship!
cc_frisbee College & Career Night: Although we meet informally many times during the month, we schedule one Saturday night a month for an evening of food, fellowship and fun. Hosted by a different person each time, this event is open to all. After sharing supper together, we engage in an open, honest Bible discussion. The date and location of the college and career night change monthly, so please contact us if you would like to attend!
We love to get together to study the Bible, to eat, to play games, to do sports or to just hang out. We're always planning various activities (such as tree top trekking, trips to the beach, themed Bible studies and games of ultimate frisbee), so please send us an email or give us a call to see what's happening or if you're interested in joining us!

Young Adult Weekend: In May, we host a weekend for young adults across the province. It's a time to connect with others, learn through Bible study and discussion as well as grow spiritually. We have been blessed to have speakers such as Greg Whitfield (Cambridge Church of Christ), Paul Hillier (Pinehill Church of Christ), Kevin Carson (South Edmonton Church of Christ) and Greg Parks (Eastridge Church of Christ, TX). As a congregation, we plan many different special events to encourage fellow Christians and members of the community. We hope that you will plan to attend some of our events! Feel free to call or email for more information.

We plan many types of spiritual and social events (such as a Tiki Night in February or a Bible lectureship, but here are just some examples of the special events which we hold:

Friends' Day

potluckThe first Sunday of every month is Friends' Day at the Barrie Church of Christ. While every day is a good day for friends and family, on Friends' Day we have a potluck at noon, following our worship service. It's a great way to catch up with one another as well as get to know new people. We always welcome guests from the community to join us, so please drop by!

Congregational Singing

Held at 6:30 PM on the fifth Sunday of the month, congregational singing time gives us a chance to learn new songs or sing old favourites.

Brunches & Bible Studies

We hold a variety of Bible studies and men's and ladies' brunches. Call or email for more information

Usually in the fall, the Ladies' Day is a time for great fellowship, food and lessons. We usually host more than 50 ladies at this dynamic and uplifting event.

Barrie Christian Fellowship

bcf_posterOccasionally, we plan a special weekend of lessons and fellowship with people in our community and across Southern Ontario. Our last weekend was entitled Lost & Found: The World in God's Eyes with Gerry Bibaud from the South Edmonton Church of Christ as our guest speaker (October, 2009).
